What: A hands-on how-to mural workshop with experienced muralist Artsy Elaine. You will get 4 hours of instruction on painting and transferring designs BIG onto walls. We will be practicing the 4 most common transfer techniques by painting Elaine’s pre-made designs on large canvases and contribute to a mural on the wall of the Avondale Arts Center. Students will not take home a finished mural, but will gain hands-on experience transferring designs and painting. Instructor will share information about how to install murals, as well as answer any questions during the event. Students will also receive a detailed PDF guide with all Elaine’s recommendations and learnings for mural best practices.
