The Avondale Estates Wine & Art Walk will take place on:
Sat., May 11, 2024 from 3-7pm
25 venues throughout the business district of Avondale Estates will offer wine tastings to ticket holders during the event.
Art is coordinated by Isadora Pennington, President of the Avondale Arts Alliance, and we are inviting painters from the Virginia Highland Plein Air Painters to register as a painter during the city-wide event.
Relevant Details:
Painters will be assigned to key locations throughout the business district and along the route of the walk.
Painters can bring their own easels, wagons, umbrellas, chairs, etc. as needed.
Painters will be able to take breaks and use the restroom inside of the Avondale Arts Center during the entirety of the event.
Works completed during the event may be hung in the Workshop of the Avondale Arts Alliance starting at the end of the event (around 6:30-7pm) and will remain on display until Sat., June 1. The Avondale Arts Alliance will facilitate sales for works completed during the Wine Walk with a 30% commission.
Artists do not have to hang their works or have them for sale if they don’t wish to.
We will promote artists on Avondale Arts Alliance and Explore Avondale social media channels, and add artists to our interactive map which is available to all who are walking in the district.
All participating artists are invited to come to the Avondale Arts Center for free small bites and non-alcoholic beverages during the wrap party at the end of the event from 6:30-8pm.
